Two more persons , one incumbent and another who has some experience on the Greene County Commission, have submitted their qualifying petitions to the Greene County Election Commission.
William “Bill” Dabbs of Oak Hills Parkway is seeking reelection to the seat he currently holds in the fourth district.
April M. Lane of Mayor Avenue is seeking election in District seven. She was selected by the County Commission to fill the unexpired term of Butch Patterson in February of 2021 after he moved out of that district.
QUALIFYING UNDERWAY
Qualifying of candidates in both the May and August elections is underway. The qualifying deadline for those on the May ballot is 12 Noon on Thursday, February 19. The August qualifying deadline is at Noon on March 10th.
VOTER REGISTRATION
April 6th is the deadline to register to vote in the May election.
