Two men were arrested Monday morning after they were found in a vehicle that had switched tags.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department came upon a Honda Accord that was stopped in the middle of Industrial Road at Poor Farm Road just after midnight Monday. A records check showed that the tag belonged to a 1997 Ford Explorer.
During the traffic stop, a clear bag holding suspected methamphetamine was found on the front seat along with a cut straw. Approximately 1.22 grams of the crystal like substance were in the bag, which was claimed by 47-year-old Randall Reese of Mars Hill, North Carolina.
A passenger, 56-year-old Robert Brown of CM Jones Road, had a warrant for violating probation. Both men were taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
