Update At 11:30 AM:
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence on the 500 block of Choctaw Drive on Thursday around 1 PM where they located a deceased female.
A Press Release states detectives with the Sheriff’s Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation conducted a search of the wooded area behind the residence this morning where they found another body. It was a deceased male.
The body was discovered with the assistance of Auxiliary Deputy Wayne Wilhoit and Human Resources Detection K9 Ruger. Both bodies have been sent for Autopsy. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department Press Release, there is no continuing danger to the public at this time.
The Greeneville/Greene County EMS and Greene County Rescue Squad also responded the scene and provided assistance. More information will be released as it becomes available.
Investigators are on the scene of the discovery of two deceased bodies in eastern Greene County.
One was reportedly discovered yesterday and another was discovered this morning. Authorities responded to a neighborhood off of the Chuckey Highway earlier today.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation say no details are being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
