Two people were charged following a traffic stop Tuesday night that was conducted on a vehicle reported stolen.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department spotted a 2009 Chevrolet Express van around 10:15 PM that had been reported stolen. The vehicle was stopped on West Andrew Johnson Highway at Jost International.
A K9 alerted on the van. During a search, a container with methamphetamine was found under the passenger seat where Patton Key of Fishpond Road was sitting. He was taken into custody for the manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of methamphetamine.
The driver, Shonya Johnson of 107 Cutoff, was issued a summons to appear in court for driving on a suspended license.
The report did not provide further information on the stolen vehicle or any charges related to it.
