Tweed Fire update as of November 15th at 4 PM:
The Tweed Fire is still about 536 acres and at 60% containment, mop up continues.
According to Public Information Officer James B. Heaton, fire crews have been working diligently to strengthen and reinforce containment lines throughout the day. This work will continue until mop-up activities are complete or we have significant rainfall to extinguish hot spots.
Attachments have been included regarding the Fire Restrictions that just came out from the United States FS Forest Supervisor’s office effective November 15th. Additionally, the Forest Service expects containment and acreage totals to remain the same for the next few days. Updates will most likely not be provided until there is a change in the numbers or an unexpected event.
