MT. PLEASANT, S.C. — Tusculum freshman Anna Ahonen carded the third-lowest 54-hole total in school history as she posted a 223 at the Low Tide Intercollegiate.

The Pioneers finished 11th in the tournament field as they totaled 957 which includes a final day 322.

Ahonen’s total included a final day 75 as she finished 13th individually for her second top-20 finish in five events in her rookie campaign.

Tusculum sophomore Reagan Padilla tied for 17th place with her three-round score of 226 including her 76 on Tuesday. Her 76-74-76=226 total is the second-lowest of her career, just one stroke from matching last fall’s 225 at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational.

Host Limestone won the team title as the Saints finished with 875, five shots better than runner-up Lee University (880). North Georgia was third with 890, while Lander and West Georgia tied for fourth place honors with 897. Lenoir-Rhyne was sixth with 908, followed by Catawba (929), Columbus State (931), Newberry (941), Coker (948), Tusculum (957), Erskine (958) and UNC Pembroke (978).

Tusculum’s Emilie Bergh-Jacobsen finished 65th with her tournament total 87-80-85=252. Lindsay Self shot 86-85-86=257 to finish 68th, while Adrienne O’Brien placed 72nd with 97-84-90=271.

The Pioneers return to action March 11-12 as they compete at the Converse Invitational.
