At the Greeneville City Board of Education meeting yesterday afternoon, Tusculum View Elementary got recognition for being a Four-time National Blue Ribbon School.

Director of Greeneville City Schools Steve Starnes said based on the assessment process from Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, Tusculum View Elementary met the required criteria in 9 performance areas at the 23rd Annual Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence (BRSE) Conference. Those 9 areas include: 1. Student Focus and Support, 2. School Organization and Culture, 3. Challenging Standard and Curriculum, 4. Active Teaching and Learning, 5. Technology and Integration, 6. Professional Community, 7. Leadership and Education Vitality, 8. School, Family, Community Partnerships, and 9. Indicators of Success.

This is Tusculum Views 4th time receiving the prestigious recognition award and is the only school in the nation to be recognized 4 times. Director Starnes believes it’s even more impressive when you consider it’s been achieved under the leadership of 4 different principals. Tusculum View won the same award back in 2005, 2011, 2017, and now 2022.
