SOFTBALL
Due to weekend weather forecasts, Tusculum University softball has added an early contest on Friday (Feb. 9). The Pioneers will now host Hillsdale for a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m.
Tusculum (3-3) is in the midst of a 10-game homestand, including hosting rights to this weekend’s (Feb. 10-11) round robin with the Chargers, Lees-McRae, and Fairmont State.

BASEBALL
The Tusculum University baseball team has announced changes for this weekend’s non-conference series with the University of Illinois Springfield.
The series will begin with a Friday doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. at Pioneer Park. The series will continue with single games on Saturday at 1 p.m. and the weekend finale on Sunday at 12 p.m.
All times are tentative as weather and field conditions could warrant additional adjustments. These changes are due to the forecast of inclement weather in the East Tennessee region.
The Pioneers (1-2) and Prairie Stars (0-0) previously met during the 2022 season where the two teams split a four-game weekend set.
LACROSSE
Due to the threat of rain late Saturday afternoon, the start time of the Tusculum University men’s lacrosse home match with Young Harris College has been moved up to 1 p.m. Saturday at Pioneer Field.
The Pioneers will be playing their 2024 season opener, while the Mountain Lions are 0-1 following a 20-5 loss to Anderson last Saturday.
