The Tusculum Board of Mayor and Commissioners will meet tonight at 7 PM at Tusculum Town Hall.
The board will swear in Tusculum Commissioner Mike Burns and elect Mayor and Vice Mayor. On the agenda is the reappointment of Planning Commission Members. There will be a review on monthly reports; an update on Chuckey Doak and on the school zone camera update.
The Board met and approved a survey for a Photo Speed Enforcement Program. The first step was to conduct a traffic survey to confirm if the situation with speeding in the schools zones were bad enough to enforce the cameras.
The company came back with results on three different school zones, Doak Elementary School, Chuckey-Doak Middle School, and Chuckey-Doak High School, with Chuckey-Doak Middle School having the most vehicles and speeding violations recorded. The next step was to get a 3rd party to do another survey and an update should be provided tonight.
The board will meet at 145 Alexander Street at 7 PM.
