A vehicle fire was reported on the Kingsport Highway Monday afternoon.
According to the driver, he was traveling inbound on the highway when his brakes locked up on the semi he was driving. He stopped the vehicle when he could and saw his tires were on fire. He reportedly attempted to use a fire extinguisher but was unsuccessful.
The truck is a total loss with the trailer sustaining heavy damage.
