A truck earlier involved in a motor vehicle accident at 2575 Old Asheville Highway, was reported stolen on Sunday by the owner of the vehicle.
The Tamara Lane resident told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department he had left the 2001 Dodge Ram parked in his driveway with the keys inside the truck. It was reported taken sometime between late Saturday and early Sunday afternoon. A cell phone which was the property of the U.S. Navy was also inside the vehicle.
The follow up investigation revealed the truck had been involved in the wreck. The owner said it was not him driving the truck when it crashed.
