Intimidation was reported at a business on East Andrew Johnson Highway yesterday, resulting in the Greene County Sheriff’s Department having to serve a trespass warning on the suspect.
The suspect Joel Shelton, arrived at the business Aspen Dental Monday for dental work. An employee told him they tried calling to reschedule his appointment but were unsuccessful. Shelton said his number changed and the employee attempted to reschedule him, but he allegedly became angry stating they would do something about it that day. After speaking with the doctor about the matter, she let him know the schedule was full and that they were unable to do the work. Shelton reportedly became aggressive and verbally abusive. He was asked to leave.
Yesterday afternoon Shelton called the office to complain and was again verbally abusive and aggressive on the phone with an employee. According to the report, Shelton said if they didn’t do anything he would go to the business and cause trouble. Due to placing employees in fear, the office was put on lockdown and law enforcement was called. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department served him a trespass warning at his residence and told him he’d be arrested for criminal trespassing if he returned to the business.
