A traffic stop just after two am today led to drug related charges against the driver.
Officer Tanner O’Laughlin stopped a truck in the 1600 hundred block of the Asheville Highway after the tag on the vehicle came back as suspended.
K9 Rip was used after Kenneth C. Crawford of Craft Lane, Greeneville consented to a search. Nothing was found in the truck, but the officer says drugs were found on Crawford’s person.
He was charged with Possession of methamphetamine and schedule 3 drug violations, in addition to violation of the financial responsibility law and driving on an expired registration.
