A tractor-trailer accident was reported late Thursday afternoon on Baileyton Road.
A vehicle driven by 20-year-old Elijah Paul Taylor was traveling north on Baileyton Road near Harmony Circle, while a tractor-trailer driven by 43-year-old David Ford was traveling south. Taylor’s vehicle drifted into the path of the tractor-trailer. Ford swerved to the right, at which time Taylor side-swiped the left side of the tractor-trailer, striking the rear tires of the trailer.
Taylor and Ford were both uninjured in the wreck, according to the report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Traffic was detoured as crews responded to investigate and clean up the accident.
