Tractor batteries were reported stolen from two different properties on Sunday.
A man who owns property on Afton Road told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that he parked his tractor outside his building overnight Saturday. When he returned to his farm on Sunday afternoon, he found two batteries and the battery shroud had been stolen off his tractors. Loss is estimated at $800.
A second theft occurred on Williams Springs Road. The victim told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department he went to his farm Sunday to check his tractors. Two tractors on the property had batteries stolen from them. Loss was estimated at $500. While the victim was looking over his property, he found a wallet lying next to an alcoholic beverage can. An ID was found inside the wallet and a possible suspect was identified in the report.
