Police are investigating a theft from a truck at The Days Inn on East Andrew Johnson Highway this week.
Officers spoke with the victim who stated he had arrived in town for work, and noticed Thursday afternoon that a box in the bed of his truck was missing.
The victim said the box contained a safety belt, climbing gear, and hand tools. Video footage has been requested. The value of the items taken is over $5,500.
