Incumbent Greene County School Board Member Tom Cobble won reelection to his 2nd District seat in Tuesday’s Greene County Primary Election.
Cobble received 560 while challenger James W. Wilhoit received 475 votes. There were no Democrat candidates who filed, so Cobble will be unopposed in the August general election.
RIck Tipton ran unopposed for his 7th District County School Board seat and received 628 votes.
Chuck Jeffers has been reelected to Greene County Property Assessor. Jeffers ran unopposed in the primary and received 5,805 votes. He will also be unopposed in the general election.
In Greene County, Donald Trump received the most votes in the Republican Presidential Primary, beating Nikki Haley 6,306 to 1,118. In the Democrat Primary, President Joe Biden received 374 votes.
