A Greeneville man was arrested Sunday afternoon after reports of a three year old walking around in the road unattended.
Greeneville Police responded to the call around 3:40 pm to Ocean Boulevard where the report indicates “the child was found, wearing only a diaper, standing in the roadway of the trailer park.” Police found the father asleep inside his residence at 3 Morse Lane. Inside the home, police say “the living conditions were deplorable. There was an overwhelming smell of animal feces and urine, which could be smelled from outside, and a copious amount of trash inside the residence.”
Lee A. Thombs was charged with Child Neglect and is scheduled for a Sessions Court appearance today.
