ACCIDENT DETAILS
On Sunday, August 9 the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a crash involving a fatality on Interstate 81 southbound at the 18-mile marker in Greene County.
It was determined that a 2020 Nissan Murano had struck the rear of a white colored, day-cab type (no sleeper berth) commercial tractor that was not pulling a trailer. The driver of the commercial vehicle pulled to the shoulder of the roadway, exited the vehicle before examining it, and then drove away. No vehicle registration information is available for this vehicle.
