The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating two thefts that were reported on Tuesday.
A Greeneville man reported a trailer containing roofing tin was stolen from outside a house he is remodeling on Bill Martin Road in Afton. A rear window of a truck on the property was busted out. A CB radio was taken from the vehicle, along with the truck’s battery and a toolbox containing several tools. Loss is estimated at nearly $17,000. A possible suspect was named in the report filed with the Sheriff’s Department.
A Chuckey man reported a jet ski and trailer stolen from a barn on his property on Earnest Road. They were last seen on Monday. The jet ski is valued at $10,000, while the trailer is valued at $1,000.
