Theft was reported yesterday morning from a business on Old Stage Road.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded after 8 AM and spoke with the business owner who stated a golf cart, 2 truck batteries, logging and yard equipment, and more items were stolen from the property. According to the report, the items might have been taken on Saturday.
The golf cart worth $10,000 was recovered from Ravenwood Mobile Home Park with a couple hundred dollars worth of damage. The other items are still missing. Video footage showed the suspect going onto the property, stealing the golf cart, and continuing to drive around avoiding cameras.
The suspect was unknown at the time but the report states it could be a current or former employee.
