Police responded to a larceny call on Elk Street around 10:30 Friday morning, for theft from a motor vehicle.
Officers spoke with the victim who stated that someone had stolen a toolbox from off the back of his truck. The victim named possible suspects in the theft, and said that the apartment building had video footage, as well. According to the report, the video shows a male opening the truck and taking tools from the cab. Another male shows up in a white car, to assist in removing the toolbox from the back. The toolbox was put into it a red truck that pulled up, and then all parties left scene.
Officers searched the area for the suspects, but were unable to locate them at the time of the report. In addition to the toolbox, tool missing included a skill saw and hand drill. The loss was estimated to be over $600.
