Temperature’s will continue to rise throughout the week into the weekend with the heat becoming dangerous without proper hydration.
The Greeneville/Greene County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security advises to avoid heat exhaustion this weekend as temperatures will hit the highest we have seen this season yet. The hottest day so far in the forecast is this Friday with a high near 90. No warning or advisories have been issued yet but they could likely be soon.
Heat is one of the most deadly weather hazards. Heat exhaustion can lead to a heat stroke. This is a reminder to not leave people or pets alone in a closed car, wear loose fitting clothing, and drink plenty of water.
