Weather forecasts anticipate arctic-like air this weekend.
Beginning Friday night, temperatures are expected to drop into the teens.
The National Weather Service states the beginning of December will have below normal temperatures. An arctic air mass is expected to move into the Tennessee valley and southern Appalachians. Light snow accumulations are possible across the higher terrain on Saturday.
Daytime highs will be in the 30s and 40s while overnight lows will be in teens and twenties.
The forecast calls for Friday night to have a low of 19
Saturday will have a high near 40 with increasing clouds into early Sunday and a low around 26 degrees. Sunday night the low will be around 22 with a low of 18 Monday night
