One person was injured in a single vehicle wreck just before 4:30 Thursday afternnoon in the 3600 block of the Kingsport Highway near Scott Farm Road.
According to an accident report, 19 year old Tavis Brebner of Greeneville, driving a Saturn sedan, was southbound on State 93 (Kingsport Highway) at a high rate of speeding negotiating a left-hand curve. The vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway. Once off the roadway the vehicle struck several small trees while traveling down an embankment. The vehicle came to a final rest upright in a creek bed.
Brebner sustained upper left arm and right leg injuries. He was trapped and had to be extricated. Brebner was flown by Highlands Air Rescue to the Johnson City Medical Center. A condition update was not listed on the report, which does indicate he was not wearing a seatbelt.
