Two people hiding in a closet at a Chuckey home were arrested on Sunday afternoon.
Deputies responded to the 4900 block of Old Stage Road for a warrant check on suspect Dakota Ricker. They spoke with a woman that opened the door, Karen Hice. Hice was reportedly asked several times if Ricker was inside of the home. She insisted Ricker was not at the residence and said no one else was inside.
Hice gave deputies authorization to search the home but asked they remove their shoes first. During the search, she continued stating no one was in the home. Deputies entered a room and found the suspect Ricker and a woman, Brittany Mace of Chuckey. Both were hiding in a closet.
Mace and Ricker allegedly had active warrants out of Greene County for theft and violation of probation. They were charged with evading arrest and Hice was charged with false reports.
