Susie Mae Harper Harris, 67, of Greeneville, passed away peacefully Monday at Greeneville Community Hospital.
She was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sept. 17, 1958. Susie loved gardening, being at the racetrack, riding motorcycles and spending time with friends and family.
Susie was preceded in death by her father: Harold Harper Sr.; mother: Meadie Harper; grandchildren: Jace and Joshua.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years: Wendell Harris Sr.; children: Wendell Harris Jr. (Michelle) and Christopher (Lauren) Harris; grandchildren: Hannah, Aleshia, Alexis and Malachi; sisters: Patsy and Donna; brother: Harold; special family: Patrick (Lorrie) Flannery and their children: James, Patrick Jr. and Alan; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all who loved her dearly.
Susie will be remembered for her kindness, love and spirited personality.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Greg Youngblood officiating.
