A semi that got stuck on the Asheville Highway had that road closed for most of the day Saturday. It was finally freed late in the evening.
The truck became stuck blocking both lanes of traffic just past Kelly Gap Road. Wreckers large enough to help free the rig were tied up on numerous other calls, including several other stuck semis on the interstate and on other county roads.
Greene County 9-1-1 Central Dispatch said that those had all been cleared by this morning and the roads were unobstructed.
