A fire this morning on 100 block of Midway Circle is under investigation.
The structure fire was reported after 3 AM today. According to a report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, smoke alarms woke up the homeowner who then discovered the house to be full of smoke. Another occupant that was sleeping inside the home was woken up and both were able to leave the home. Another resident was not inside of the home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
The Midway, McDonald, Mosheim, and Town of Mosheim Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the residence, which was reportedly engulfed upon arrival. As of 5:30 AM emergency responders were still on the scene. EMS, the Greene County Sheriffs Department, Debusk Rehab United, and the Greeneville Energy Authority also responded to assist with the fire.
