A section of Old Tusculum Road is now back open to traffic following the installation of two speed humps Thursday morning.
Greeneville Public Works temporarily closed the section of Old Tusculum Road from Oak Grove Road to the Erwin Highway to install the speed humps.
Crews will mark the speed humps on Monday once the asphalt has had time to cool and cure. Barrels and caution signs will be placed at each location for the weekend.
The curvy roadway, especially in that area, allows very little room for error for motorists, and has been the site of several accidents, including a fatal accident involving Tusculum University students last year.
