A South Carolina woman was arrested in Greene County following a traffic stop Thursday afternoon.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department saw a vehicle around 5:30 PM driving erratically toward the Summer Street exit on West Andrew Johnson Highway and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Regina Webb of Westminster, South Carolina. She was reportedly acting nervous and talking fast. Webb said she had gotten lost coming off Interstate 26 and was trying to go north to Columbus, Ohio.
A K9 deputy alerted on the vehicle. A small black safe was found in the car with two baggies of methamphetamine weighing 1.82 grams and a glass pipe. A case was inside the trunk containing another glass pipe, four plastic baggies, and two jars with meth inside. There was also a backpack in the vehicle that had a large bottle containing numerous pills. A glass pipe and lighter were found concealed in Webb’s clothing as well.
She was taken into custody for the manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of methamphetaine, simple possession of schedule 4 and 5 drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
