A Greene County man faces 1st Degree Murder charges after allegedly killing his parents this morning.
35-year-old Jessie Wilhoit was taken into custody without incident after calling 9-1-1 around 10:38 AM. Deputies arrived at the house in the 500 block of Hartman Lane to find 60-year-old Cassandra Wilhoit and 68-year-old Ray “Allen” Wilhoit deceased. No cause of death was released.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Division, assisted by agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, responded to the scene. Detective Sergeant Toby Price consulted with the District Attorney’s office and charged Jessie Wilhoit with two counts of 1st Degree Murder.
He is set to appear in court for arraignment on Monday.
