Families seeking a high-quality experience at summer camps will find exactly what they need at Tusculum University.
Six camps will be held at the campus this month and in July with the first camp scheduled to begin next week. The University’s faculty and staff are ready to spend a week at each camp where children will learn all types of skills in a fun and inviting manner at the campus.
“Our gorgeous and historic campus is a perfect setting for children to enjoy a portion of their summer away from school while still expanding their knowledge,” said Greg Fay, Tusculum’s director of camps and continuing education. “The university’s faculty and staff members have prepared exciting camps that will create memories children will take with them for a lifetime.”
Below are the camps and prices:
- Creative Writing Workshop- for high school students: June 10-14, 5:30-8:30 PM
Thomas J. Garland Library: $105
- Pioneer Skills Camp- for ages 10-12: June 17-21, 9 AM to 12 PM
Doak House Museum: $75
- Esports and the Business of Video Games– for 6th grade-12th grade students: June 24-28, 9 AM to 12:30 PM
Esports and gaming lab in the Scott M. Niswonger Commons: $150
- Tusculum Theatre Camp- for ages 8-12 and 13+: July 8-12, 2-5 PM and 6-9 PM
Annie Hogan Byrd Fine Arts Center: $115
- Tusculum Theatre Camp- for ages 5-8 and 9-12: July 15-19, 8-11 AM and 12-3 PM

- Historic Woodworking Camp- for ages 10-12: July 22-26, 9 AM to 12 PM

“We encourage people to sign up for as many of the camps as they can,” Fay said. “Participants will learn from experts in these fields, who will provide compelling and well-designed material for these camps. The experience of these leaders will result in an exciting time for younger children and teenagers that will stimulate further learning for them.”
