A Greene County Sheriff’s Department deputy has been placed on administrative leave after he was arrested in late January for domestic assault.
According to a press release issued today, the administration of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department was made aware on January 26 of a domestic violence situation involving Deputy Gregory Tipton.
Tipton was arrested by the Greeneville Police Department, since the reported incident occurred within the city limits.
At this time, Deputy Tipton has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the case.
