Several will go before Judge John F. Dugger Jr. this morning for their first scheduled appearance in Criminal Court, including 3 juveniles who were charged with First Degree Murder last year.
17 year-old Tyler Adams of Chuckey, 16 year-old Edward Arthur Houser III from Madisonville, TN, 17 year-old Christopher Dalton Nance of Afton, were all charged in connection with the shooting death of 22-year-old Juan Tauscher. Tauscher, of the Old Asheville Highway, died from his gunshot wounds after he and another victim were found on October 30th, 2022. The Greene County Juvenile Court held an initial detention hearing on November 10. The cases were transferred to Criminal Court in April and were presented to the Grand Jury on May 1st.
In a separate case, 43 year-old Isaac J. Story of Jonesborough will face multiple charges including Attempted First Degree Murder in connection with a shooting on November 15th, 2022. According to the Greeneville Police Report, Story went to the parking lot of Meco on Industrial Road and confronted two women sitting in a car. He reportedly broke the driver’s side window, fired the gun and struck one of the women in the head with the weapon.
The defendants will all have an Arraignment Hearing this morning with Judge Dugger in the Greene County Circuit Court.
