Several County Commissioner and two county-wide office holders attended their last County Commission meeting Monday night before leaving office.
Tim White, Nick Gunter, Josh Arrowood, Tim Smithson, Bill Dabbs, Hoot Bowers, John Waddle, Jr. and Pam Carpenter attended their final meeting as commissioners. Jeffrey Bible had stepped down from the commission earlier this summer when he moved out of the district to which he was elected, but he was also recognized for his service on Monday along with other commissioners.
County Road Superintendent Kevin Swatsell and County Sheriff Wesley Holt were also recognized for their service to the county when attending their last commission meeting in their respective roles on Monday.
Greene County Mayor Kevin Morrison presented each of the commissioners and office holders with a framed Greene County flag, and thanked them for their service to the community.

In early September, David McLain and Dale “Bud” Tucker will be among nine new commissioners as they join Kathy Crawford in the first commission district. New commissioner Travis Hoxie will join Chase Murray and Brad Peters in the second. Bryan Jones and E.J. Swatsell will take their new seats along side Lyle Parton in the fourth. Other new commissioners are Terry Cannon and Wesley Holt in the fifth, where they join Gary Shelton. Tony Jones and Josh Kesterson join incumbent Larkin Clemmer in the sixth.
District three, with Jason Cobble, Jan Kiker and Robin Quillen and district seven, with Lisa Bowman Anderson, Paul Burkey and Teddy Lawing, remain unchanged.
