Seven Brew Drive Thru Coffee’s site plan was granted Preliminary and Final approval Tuesday and could be one of your next coffee spots this summer.

The Greeneville Municipal Planning Commission approved the site plan, which shows a 525 square foot building  on 3075 East Andrew Johnson Highway, near the corner of Rufe Taylor Road and diagonal to Taco Bell. Planning Director Randy Davenport said grading for the site could be done by the end of this February. Construction for the project could take about 10-11 weeks. So Seven Brew Drive Thru Coffee could be ready by late spring or by summer time.

With its location on the 11-E, traffic was discussed as the entrance into Seven Brew will be from North Rufe Taylor Road, which already has cars backed up throughout the day. The planning commission spoke with the developer, who says he believes with the entrance and exit options, there shouldn’t be an additional traffic issue.  There’s also already an existing entrance near EAJH, but a new entrance is to be constructed to connect with N. Rufe Taylor Rd.

According to the developer, no car stays for more than 3-4 minutes and he believes the traffic flow won’t be an issue. Minor adjustments could be done according to the Public Works Department, like adjusting the timing on traffic lights, but ultimately it’s the long term impact that should be considered. Davenport added the addition of a left turning lane on North Rufe Taylor Rd could also help with traffic.

Seven Brew’s normal operating hours are from 5:30 AM to 10 PM, perfect for those early birds who want a little more flavor with their morning coffee. Or you can have one of their other 20,000+ options. They have a Chick-fil-A type of style but according to the site plan, it is a drive-thru only and no indoor seating will be provided. The site plan approval is subject to the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s approval to use the site’s existing entrance.
