100 grams of Marijuana were found following a traffic stop at the West Andrew Johnson Highway and Blue Spring Parkway intersection Saturday.
An officer with the Mosheim Police Department spotted a vehicle going 82 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone around 10:00 PM. The driver, Brian Bahner of Russellville, said there was a firearm in the driver’s side front door. The serial number from the gun showed it had been reported stolen. When questioned about the gun, Bahner said he had bought it from someone about two years ago.
A search of the vehicle produced a backpack that had 100 grams of Marijuana, along with a scale, baggies and a grinder. Bahner was also found to be in possession of a little over $1,200 in cash.
While being transported to the Greene County Detention Center, Bahner reportedly said he was not a bad man, he just sold a little weed.
He was charged with possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of schedule 6 drugs for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, and driving on a suspended or revoked license.
