A mobile home at 727 Ripley Island Road was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene around 4:30 AM, along with the Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department. The home was fully engulfed at that time.
According to the report, it was unknown if anyone was at home when the fire started. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful at the time of the report. No injures were listed. The home, valued at $50,000, was a total loss.
Also responding with assistance was the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department, Newmansville Volunteer Fire Department, with support from the Debusk Volunteer Fire Department Rehab Unit, Chaplain Danny Ricker, Greeneville Energy Authority, Greene County EMS, and the dispatchers at Greene County 911.
