The only witness the state called was Rick Williams for a Victim Impact Statement.
Williams, a Greene County Sheriff’s Department officer was the first law enforcement on the scene and first officer to view the bodies of Sherry Cole and Jessie Allen. Sherry was his sister, Jessie his nephew.
WILLIAMS STATEMENT
“First of all, I’d like to thank the members of the jury.
I know what a weight this is for you all this past week I’ve carried for the last 4 years.
I will carry the images from that with me for the rest of my life. Those images, those events have forever changed my life. But I refuse to let Jordan Allen continue to take anything else from me. We all know what he has taken from me. He will not take anything else.
When asked, are you having a bad day, the answer is always no, I’ve had a bad day.
I know no one wants to think a 16 year old could do this but here we are.
I ask you all to give him the maximum sentence with no parole.”
