Rhonda Humbert has been installed as the new president of the Tennessee Association of Fairs, marking the latest in a series of recent high accomplishments for the Greene County Fair.
Humbert officially assumed the presidency during a passing of the gavel ceremony Saturday night in Nashville at the conclusion of the association’s annual convention. She currently serves as first vice president of the Greene County Fair.
Humbert’s selection as president follows a year of significant recognition for the Greene County Fair. In 2024, the fair received the Champion of Champions Award, recognizing it as the best fair in Tennessee regardless of size. It was the fourth time in the fair’s history it has earned the state’s top honor.
The Champion of Champions designation followed the fair’s selection as the AAA Division winner for the 2023 fair season, making it eligible for the statewide championship. Board President Rick Clark said a panel of judges visits fairs across Tennessee each year, but divisional winners receive additional scrutiny during the championship selection process.
The recent honors come as the Greene County Fair concludes its 75th anniversary year, which also produced the largest attendance in two decades. Nearly 34,000 people attended the 2025 fair, marking one of the most successful years in the event’s history.
