An employee at a Greeneville restaurant allegedly was caught stealing money.
According to the report filed Thursday with the Greeneville Police Department, the manager of Subway on East Andrew Johnson Highway, across from Lowe’s, has video footage of an employee stealing money. The employee reportedly pretended to deposit money into the safe, but would sneak the cash into her purse instead. The employee also would charge customers full price on a discounted item and put the difference into the tip jar, which she would then take.
The amount of stolen money totaled around $450. No charges have been filed yet against the employee, who was identified in the report.
