Rain , storms , flood watches and warnings apparently will continue to be the theme for the day on this Saturday.
While the Flood Watch will remain in effect for the area when warnings are not in place, the Hazardous Weather Outlook will also continue.
Northeast Greene County was under a flood warning between 3 and 6 am today before it expired. A flash flood warning wash issued around 8:30 this morning for southern Greene County and Cocke County.
Greene County Sheriff Wesley Holt told Radio Greeneville News at 9 this morning there had already been extensive localized flash flooding in the St. James and Cedar Creek areas. Numerous roadways have been covered which should remind motorists of the often used warning of “turn around, don’t drown”.
