The Greene County Election Commission reported today that Josh Quillen filed a nominating petition to run for re-election as a republican in the May 2 Town of Greeneville School Board Primary Election.
The general election may not be held, however, as the Town of Greeneville has proposed changes to the charter to hold all elections on even-numbered years. If those changes are finalized, school board members would have their terms extended by one year to coincide with other races scheduled during the 2024 election.
As it now stands, the qualifying deadline for the May 2, 2023 City School Board Primary is Thursday, February 16 at noon.
