Public Works garbage collection crews halted yesterday’s collection due to slick road conditions.
Over the next few days, crews will continue collecting garbage, as road conditions and equipment will allow. Single-digit temperatures in the early mornings, will delay start times. The goal is to collect all of this week’s garbage this week, but please be patient as crews work safely through this winter weather.
Road crews have salted the state roads and have been treating as many icy spots as possible on major streets and roads. However, there may still be icy patches in areas, especially less traveled streets and roads. The public is advised to use extreme caution on the roadways and to not travel unless it is an emergency.
