Several Public Intoxication and Driving Under the Influence charges were filed this weekend.
At 2:00 this morning, officers were dispatched to the parking area at the 2700 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway. A female was reported slumped over in a car. Officers reportedly found the female in the driver’s seat with the door open and the key in her hand. The woman was awakened and identified as Megan Coleman of Sunnyside Loop.
According the report, officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Coleman, who performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Second Offense.

Just before 8:00 PM Saturday evening, officers were called to the Walgreens Parking Lot on East Andrew Johnson Highway, to speak with Marcus Shores, of Morningside Drive. The report stated that Shores admitted to using Methamphetamine and was transported to the Greene County Jail for Public Intoxication.

Around midnight Friday, officers pulled over a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Josue Chavarria Mendoza of Blue Springs Parkway for erratic driving. Mendoza allegedly told officers his license was expired. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on which Mendoza performed poorly. He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
