Emergency crews spent more than 12 hours stabilizing an overturned propane tanker near Mosheim on Friday.
The tanker overturned in the median of the West Andrew Johnson Highway near Payne Road just after noon on Friday, blocking both lanes of traffic and forcing detours of both northbound and southbound vehicles.
In order to remove the truck safely, the remaining propane inside the tanker was burned off. That process completed around 1:00 this morning, which allowed the tanker to be towed away.
