The Town of Greeneville and the Greeneville Police Department announced this week the promotion of Administrative Lieutenant Joshua Pierce to Uniformed Services Captain.
Pierce has been with GPD for 15 years, two of those years as Patrol Sergeant and six as Patrol/Administrative Lieutenant.
During his tenure with the Greeneville Police Department, Pierce has been heavily involved with the department’s accreditation process through the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police. In his new role, one area of responsibility will be leading the Student Resource Officers.
Pierce’s promotion was officially recognized in a ceremony in Judge Kenneth Bailey’s Greene County Courtroom on January 30.
