Updated story:
Two out buildings were destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon on Vicky Street, off of Rocky Hill Drive.
According to the report, the victim’s neighbor saw a shed on fire and went to her door to alert her. The shed was near another structure that also caught on fire. The structure behind the house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Both were destroyed and damage was also done to the siding of the backside of the house.
Volunteers quickly contained the blaze and worked to keep it from spreading to nearby woods. The occupants were in the adjacent house when the blaze began, but told investigators they did not know the origin of the fire.
The Mosheim, Town of Mosheim and Midway Fire Departments responded to the scene, as well as EMS, Greeneville Energy Authority, and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded.
