Runway 5/23 at Tri-Cities Regional Airport remains closed this afternoon due to a sinkhole.
Further investigation revealed an approximately 20 foot by 20 foot by 17 foot sinkhole beneath the runway service.
Runway 5/23 remains closed through today.
Until the runway reopens, passengers are encouraged to check directly with the airline regarding the status of their flights.
